About the original Martha promo shot I used for this cover… I realised when enlarging it that she has blemishes on her skin AND THEY WEREN’T PHOTOSHOPPED OUT! So I didn’t photoshop them out either. Thank you Doctor Who photography people.

There’s some really nice Doctor Who blu-ray covers (both official and fanmade) out there at the moment, but as far as I know there’s never been any which feature the companions rather than the Doctors. So I thought I’d start making some!

fourteen favourite shots: Avengers Endgame
For the FIRST EVER! edition of Fourteen Favourite Shots I decided to do Avengers Endgame.
…which is in many ways a very ugly movie. I’M SORRY! But when I was screencapping it it felt like, so many scenes have this weird grey filter over them? Why?
However since I’m enhancing all the colours I suppose that doesn’t matter much.I still found it much harder than I expected to get a whole 14 shots I really loved though.
But! I do really love how the scenes on Vormir are lit. And that shot of Gamora on the top right is possibly my favourite shot of her ever – this tiny figure facing down the whole world.
I also totally love how there are two shots in here of a man staring at the woman he loves from the wrong side of a timeline.

Today Final Space fans are getting #EmmyforFinalSpace trending. Why? Because it’s a beautiful, clever, touching show and it deserves it. (It also deserves a lot less executive meddling but that’s another post.)
It’s on Netflix if you ever want to watch it! It’s really, really good, I promise. Full of happiness and sadness and romance and monsters.
Happy birthday, live-action Aladdin movie!
This time last year the live-action version of Aladdin came out and my hopes weren’t very high. I was tired of the Disney live-action remakes and in a way I still am… except I REALLY LOVED Aladdin. In fact, oh god, I actually liked it more than the original. I’m sorry!
Hopefully I’ll catch ya in the cinema in a few years’ time for the sequel.
