bail organa is the realest motherfucker in the entire franchise. he’s a bad bitch. he’s the unsung hero of the whole saga.
he does what he can, he helps who he can and protects perhaps the greatest secret in the galaxy like it ain’t no thing.
him helping, protecting ahsoka, being gentle with her knowing how bad she’s hurting and he cannot tell her anything all the while offering her that comm for the future – you a good one bail organa.
I’d like to take a moment and appreciate Bail Organa – a man who without thought to his own safety rushes towards the burning Jedi temple to try to help, then takes it upon himself to try and find Yoda and/or any other survivors because he KNOWS the Jedi wouldn’t betray the Republic.
He then without any hesitation adopts Leia, despite all the danger it would bring him and Breha (and Breha agrees to it), he loves and raises her as his own.
Despite the continued dangers of being a known Jedi sympathizer he remains in the Imperial Senate, secretly helping organize the Rebellion and introduces the Fulcrum program.
Then while his daughter is god knows where he immediately offers to rush to Tatooine to protect Luke since Obi-Wan isn’t there. Even though this likely means Leia is hurt or dead.
Bail Organa is a hero, and I think one of the first true Jedi-stans!!!

no but seriously bail organa isn’t a jedi, he’s not force-sensitive and he’s a young politician working in a senate that he knows is corrupt. he works with the jedi and puts everything he has behind trying to end a war that no one wanted. he literally puts a target on his back for no other reason than because it’s the right damned thing to do.
he goes to the jedi temple when it’s being ‘purged’ because he knows, he knows it’s the right thing to do. and he has to watch as a child, an innocent child who had done nothing more than actually be force-sensitive and raised in the temple, gets cut down defending him. PROTECTING HIM. and you can see it in his eyes as he watches this, as he is helpless to stop it. you can see how much it burns.
this man literally does not have anything invested in the jedi, not like padme does, he’s not married to a jedi, he doesn’t have jedi family. he stands by the order because he knows they’re trying to do the best in a chaotic, corrupt galaxy and need all the support they can get.

“evil triumphs when good men do nothing” but bail did everything he could at the time, and damn it he kept trying. it’s not that palpatine won in the end because people like padme and bail didn’t do anything. palaptine won, he destroyed the order, and turned the galaxy into a place of fear and suspicion because the good men died defending people that were too busy wanting something to hate instead of trying to learn and better themselves.
