Quill was definitely the kind of kid who never wanted to go to bed. I was tempted to do a comic with just panel 3, because it’s such a great Yondad bedtime story. I like the idea that Quill went back and forth on the whole “are these aliens really going to eat me?” question. Some days, it would legitimately freak him out, but other days, he could totally dismiss Yondu’s threats. (At least, this is what I remember about being eight: some days, everything is terrifying, but most days, you’re invincible, so someone threatening to kill you just makes you laugh…or maybe that was just me.)
