Ok back! three things I learned re: tlmoe
one, my homemade phil-ko pop apparently launched himself off a shelf immediately on learning the news:

two, turns out that YA author Rainbow Rowell ships Gailca:

And three, there are rumors that TLMOE might be picked up by Hulu, just like Brooklyn 99 may be! So if you love the show like me, do tweet to them!
Last Man on Earth is officially (or at least mostly officially) cancelled. My frantic promotion was for nothing. :(
I’m very unhappy about it as you can probably tell. I suppose there’s the dimmest chance it might be picked up by another network, or granted a finale special, but I’m not holding out hope at all. Four years of my life, man. And now the characters are left in a cliffhanger forever.
If we got a fifth season, we’d probably be thinking that was our last season.
Will Forte on The Last Man on Earth
So if the show does get picked up, looks like it will be the beginning of the end for the show :(
See, I don’t mind that as such as long as they get to end it the way they planned. I need closure, closure, closure.
Fox Scorecard: Complete Guide to What’s New, Renewed and Canceled
Brooklyn Nine-Nine | While not a ratings breakout, the Andy Samberg cop comedy from exec producers Dan Goor and Mike Schur remains a critical favorite. Sources note the series went into its current fifth season with an eye toward an endgame, though the series remains firmly on the bubble and could earn a sixth season. That the single-camera comedy is produced by an outside studio — Universal Television — may eventually help its fortunes given the pending Disney pact.
Last Man on Earth | The post-apocalyptic comedy created by and starring Will Forte may be this season’s New Girl as sources note the single-camera comedy from 20th TV could return for an abbreviated a fifth and final season — if it returns at all.
This should give B99 and TLMOE fans some hope!
I’ll take an abbreviated season! Come on guys!!
