You know what, I’m doubling down on this. Give me a Kylo Ren who not only understands spoken Wookie but can also speak it with a passable accent because Chewbacca babysat him so much when he was bitty. Give me a confrontation between them in Episode IIX where Chewy is screaming at him and Kylo Ren just starts irately yodeling back.

The Star Wars “At Face Value” AU.
I kinda want to write a Star Wars AU where Anakin never gets discovered by Qui-Gon or becomes a Jedi or Sith.
Instead he uses his winnings from pod-racing to buy freedom for his mother and himself, gets his way onto a freighter crew, before meeting and falling in love with the former queen of Naboo, who is living in exile.
Despite the outbreak of the clone wars, Anakin keeps working with his freighter buddies, hauling cargo and spice on the side. It’s not a glamorous job, but somebody’s gotta do it.
After a separatist attack on the freighter though, several officers are killed and Anakin gets bumped up to navigator.
Padme, meanwhile is pregnant, and the news about Anakin being bumped up to navigator, is bittersweet. She’s sad about how it happened, but at least the increased pay will help support the babies better.
Sadly, Anakin’s freighter is ambushed by the CIS and lost with all hands the day before the clone wars would end, and the shock sends Padme into a premature labor, that ultimately kills her, leaving Luke and Leia to be raised by their grandmother and later their aunt and uncle.

Face the Raven is one of the most excellent stories in years. Expertly paced, fantastic dialogue, great character beats, three dimensional characters all around, a brilliant understanding of the Doctor’s and the show’s emotional core… Standing ovation.
BBC, after Moffat’s done, let Ms. Dollard take the wheel, she’s more than capable.
