Favourite quote: Every now and again one of the characters says something in amongst all the jokes that really hits me in the heart. I think Carol’s “This world can’t suck, I won’t stand for it” is one of the best
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: MIKE’S RETURN
When it really disappointed you: I really hate that they killed off Lewis. I still hope they might find a way to retcon that somewhere down the road
Saddest moment: Everything that happens in Smart and Stupid and 30 Years of Science Down The Tubes. It almost feels like at that point, the show stopped being a sitcom and became a drama that just happened to exclusively feature people who liked fart jokes
Most well done character death: I know Mike’s death wasn’t really a death (nor were we really made to believe he wouldn’t be back one day?) but holy hell, his last two scenes with Tandy are absolutely gutwrenching

With the pilot episode in 2015! And with the first series I was like “eh this probably isn’t my thing” and then season two happened and I was like NO THIS HAS BECOME MY THING, HARD
Trope you wish they would stop using:
They could probably turn the fart and poop jokes down somewhat
One thing this show/book/film does better than others: Presenting that an apocalypse might actually not cause humans to turn into unfeeling killing machines, which is a surprisingly rare trope
Funniest moments: I cracked up laughing when Tandy does that big speech about giving Pat a proper burial and then just chucks him in the garbage
Couple you would like to see: Um… if they do retcon Lewis’s death, and keep Mike Not Dead… Mike/Lewis?
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: I wanna see bigger and bigger stars get killed off for the running joke. Let’s have Samuel L Jackson or someone turn up for the next time
Most boring plotline: Virtually everything Tandy did in season 1
Best flashback/flashfoward if any: It’s not quite a flashback, but I loved seeing Jacob Tremblay as young Tandy

Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: I’m hoping the next few episodes will answer my main one, which is where exactly has Mike been, but I also want to know what happened to Gail’s son, how did he die
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: I was loving season two but Smart and Stupid did it for me. The scene where Tandy lies down next to Mike and sings with him just broke my heart, and the rest is history…

The Last Man on Earth, always teetering about on the brink of being cancelled, is… teetering about on the brink of being cancelled. Except this time we know (thanks to Will Forte) that
“a really different, interesting story” is about to happen, ending on “another huge cliffhanger.”We still have some stories to tell so hopefully
we’ll get a fifth season. Honestly we’re lucky we’ve gotten four. We’d
love to wrap up the show on our terms but hey, not everybody’s that
lucky.Which is good! But also bad, obviously, with the show being in limbo so much! So… if you want to support the show (and honestly, it is a very good show, and getting better every year:)
- Send tweets to Fox and/or the official TLMOE twitter using the above hashtags or whatever you fancy! Especially during/just after episodes air, apparently, if you wanna increase your chances of anyone seeing them

Some vague theories about where TLMOE may be going (please someone talk about this show with me)
- I think half of Mike’s story in the promo clip actually is true and he might well have actually run into some scientists and ended up experimented on. He also has a fancy science-y van with him so where did he get that from?
- In the episode after next “a thermal heat detector (the one in the van I guess) reveals a potential sign of life” so is this a whole lotta people? But “Tandy doesn’t want the group to split up to go investigate” and there must be a good reason for that because why wouldn’t you investigate? Because he’s learned from Mike that these people have ill intent?
- The press release for 4×17 is really cagey but
“morbid discoveries” definitely doesn’t point to anything good- Is “what they actually find” a bigger group of people, scientists, doctors, all the people they actually need to restart the world properly, but they’re ruthless Mike-experimenters-upon?
I do wonder – you’re gonna have to bear with me here I’m on a roll – if the season finale (possibly the series finale) might come down to “what would you rather have, a world that’s outwardly ideal but hiding hidden rot, or a world filled with flawed, gross and messy people who happen to be your family?” And that’s possibly my favourite trope ever (just look at my love for GOTG 2!) so…
I don’t know. I know TLMOE is a comedy first and foremost (and a gleefully, relentlessly, surprisingly non-offensively lowbrow one) and I suspect if I was foolish enough to post this on Reddit I’d be bombarded with a hundred Lol It’s Not That Deep comments, but it… sometimes is that deep, right? I mean, this is a comedy built on a million bodybags. Anyway, I suppose I’ll wait it out. (Please someone talk about this show with me)
