Top 5 favourite characters: Erica, Mike, Melissa, Carol… Tandy?! I can’t believe I’m typing that but despite his many, many flaws I do like him
Other characters you like:
I like all the others despite their many flaws too!
Least favourite character: Pat didn’t really have many redeeming qualities
Otps: ERICA/GAIL, Tandy/Carol
Notps: At this point, “either of the above with anybody else”
Favourite friendship: The whole group :)
Favourite family: I love love love the relationship between the Miller brothers, I love sibling relationships so much and I can’t wait to see where it’s going now
Favourite episode: There are loads of good ones, but Smart and Stupid
Favourite season/book/movie:  Season two was completely bloody amazing
Favourite quote: Every now and again one of the characters says something in amongst all the jokes that really hits me in the heart. I think Carol’s “This world can’t suck, I won’t stand for it” is one of the best
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: MIKE’S RETURN
When it really disappointed you: I really hate that they killed off Lewis. I still hope they might find a way to retcon that somewhere down the road
Saddest moment: Everything that happens in Smart and Stupid and 30 Years of Science Down The Tubes. It almost feels like at that point, the show stopped being a sitcom and became a drama that just happened to exclusively feature people who liked fart jokes
Most well done character death: I know Mike’s death wasn’t really a death (nor were we really made to believe he wouldn’t be back one day?) but holy hell, his last two scenes with Tandy are absolutely gutwrenching
Favourite guest star: JACK BLACK
Favourite cast member: All of them, but I relate to Will Forte somewhat because we both have OCD
Character you wish was still alive:
LEWIS
One thing you hope really happens: WE GET A FIFTH SEASON
Most shocking twist:
Mike coughing up blood, Phil 2 suddenly collapsing, Pat appearing with more people… there’s been a lot really
When did you start watching/reading:
With the pilot episode in 2015! And with the first series I was like “eh this probably isn’t my thing” and then season two happened and I was like NO THIS HAS BECOME MY THING, HARD
Trope you wish they would stop using:
They could probably turn the fart and poop jokes down somewhat
One thing this show/book/film does better than others: Presenting that an apocalypse might actually not cause humans to turn into unfeeling killing machines, which is a surprisingly rare trope
Funniest moments: I cracked up laughing when Tandy does that big speech about giving Pat a proper burial and then just chucks him in the garbage
Couple you would like to see: Um… if they do retcon Lewis’s death, and keep Mike Not Dead… Mike/Lewis?
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: I wanna see bigger and bigger stars get killed off for the running joke. Let’s have Samuel L Jackson or someone turn up for the next time
Most boring plotline: Virtually everything Tandy did in season 1
Best flashback/flashfoward if any: It’s not quite a flashback, but I loved seeing Jacob Tremblay as young Tandy
Most layered character: Surprisingly, they’re all pretty dang layered
Scariest moment: Erica giving birth, it was highly unlikely the writers would kill her or the baby but still
Grossest moment: Far, far too many to count
Best looking male: Well I just followed a bunch of Jason Sudeikis blogs, so
Best looking female: Cleopatra Coleman is utterly gorgeous
Who you’re crushing on (if any): See above answers!
Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): The bit set to “Daylight” where the group walks towards the lit building is beautiful
Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: I’m hoping the next few episodes will answer my main one, which is where exactly has Mike been, but I also want to know what happened to Gail’s son, how did he die
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: I was loving season two but Smart and Stupid did it for me. The scene where Tandy lies down next to Mike and sings with him just broke my heart, and the rest is history…

gotg? or if someone’s already asked that, the broader mcu? -peregrineroad

Top 5 favourite characters: Yondu, Gamora, Nebula, Peter, Mantis, sometimes in that order?
Other characters you like: ALL OF THEM but also Groot, Rocket, Drax, Kraglin, Aleta, Stakar, I’d better stop before I name everybody, also shout out to Meredith of the Dead Fictional Mothers Club
Least favourite character: I LOVE to HATE Ego
Otps: Peter/Gamora! But I also believe that pretty much everyone in this particular verse is bi
Notps: Well, Meredith/Ego would have to be the BIG one, actually Anyone/Ego
Favourite friendship: The whole Guardians together, and also I really want Nebula and Kraglin to be friends
Favourite family: THE GUARDIANS (including Nebula, Mantis, Kraglin and Yondu!) And the Yondu/Peter father-son redemptive relationship quickly became one of my favourites
Favourite episode: n/a!
Favourite season/book/movie:  VOL 2
Favourite quote: There’s a lot, but “I’m sorry I didn’t do none of it right” “What’s so wrong with that” and “You will always be my sister” stab me riiiiight in the heart. There’s probably a whole bunch I’m forgetting too
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: Seeing the Guardians at the end of the Infinity War trailer was a pretty scream-out-loud moment
When it really disappointed you: I still don’t like that the first GOTG uses the male gaze so much
Saddest moment: YONDU, EVERYTHING ABOUT YONDU
Most well done character death: YONDU AGAIN, everything about his death is so well done
Favourite guest star: I dunno who really counts as a guest star but I like Tommy Flanagan as Tullk!
Favourite cast member: Oh man I find it so hard to choose. Can I just go for Karen Gillan again
Character you wish was still alive:
Weirdly I actually don’t wish Yondu was still alive because his death was so perfect? I think… even though it would obviously change everything… Meredith. What happened to her was so, so cruel.
One thing you hope really happens: Peter meets his grandparents again!!
Most shocking twist:
“It broke my heart to put that tumor in her head.” (To my delight ever since, people gasped in the theatre when that was said)
When did you start watching/reading:
With the first movie back in 2014
Trope you wish they would stop using: Hmm… does this count considering it’s just the promo material? I wish they’d stop making Zoe Saldana contort herself for the posters so both her chest and backside can be seen. All movie poster people need to quit that
One thing this show/book/film does better than others: Talking about the complications of trauma and abuse in a funny and creative way, so that children (who may be most in need of help) can understand
Funniest moments: "I’m Mary Poppins, y’all!” Appears to have rightly become iconic
Couple you would like to see: Mantis/Nebula, though it probably won’t happen
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: I don’t know, but someone good to play Adam Warlock please
Most boring plotline:
Ronan was a bit of a boring villain despite being played by Lee Pace
Best flashback/flashfoward if any: All Peter’s flashbacks in GOTG2 ;-;
Most layered character: That’s tricky? I like analyzing Yondu best. But all of them, really.
Scariest moment: Ego turning into that freaky skeleton thing, I Do Not Like Skeletons
Grossest moment: Eh, let’s just say anything involving Ego
Best looking male: All of them. Michael Rooker gets a shoutout though, for looking really good despite being old enough to be my dad
Best looking female: ALL of them
Who you’re crushing on (if any): I’m gonna say the same thing I said for the Doctor Who questions, Does anyone not have a crush on Karen Gillan
Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): Ego’s planet is fricking gorgeous, until you realise what’s beneath it
Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: How are Peter’s grandparents doing? :(
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: When I saw Vol 2 in theatres! I fell SO UTTERLY in love with it.

Ooh how about Marvel movies for the ask game -starklinqs

Just after this ask I got an ask for GOTG too! So I’m gonna cheat a little and do “MCU movies apart from GOTG” for this one, and GOTG for the next :)

Top 5 favourite characters: Sam/Falcon, Nat/Black Widow, Jane Foster… fuck narrowing it down to five is hard… Peter Parker/Spider-Man… I’ve kind of become fond of Loki again recently?
Other characters you like: OMG okay I’m just gonna name the first ones that come to mind because there’s SO MANY. Thor, Nakia, Ned Leeds, Bucky, T’Challa, Hawkeye
Least favourite character:
All the Hydra agents/nazis, obviously, but I guess that’s a given, also THANOS, damn him
Otps: Hmmm… I’m gonna be really boring and just stick to the canon ones (Tony/Pepper, etc) and I have some slightly weird crackships too, like Liz/Shuri. And I kinda ship Stucky by default, but I like Bucky/Sam as well
Notps: I actually can’t think of any, even Natasha/Bruce didn’t bug me all that much (besides that one scene.)
Favourite friendship: I like Natasha and Clint’s friendship, although who knows if we’ll see it highlighted again
Favourite family: The royal family of Wakanda are pretty damn awesome, I think we can agree… also, I know how unpopular this is, but I like Hawkeye having a family, because in one of the first ‘grownup’ Marvel comics I read Hawkeye has a family in that and they all get slaughtered for shock value, right down to the baby. So when I see Hawkeye’s very much alive family in the movies I flip the bird to that comic in my head.
Favourite episode: n/a!
Favourite season/book/movie:
I know it’s the worst reviewed MCU movie but I actually really love Thor 2, it was funny
Favourite quote: I absolutely frigging love T’Challa’s speech at the end of Black Panther.
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: ALL OF Infinity War is gonna be this
When it really disappointed you: The whitewashing for Doctor Strange was pretty disappointing
Saddest moment: Loki’s death was sad right up until it turned out he was faking. That little shit
Most well done character death: ERIKS
Favourite guest star: …does Michael B Jordan count as a guest star, because his performance was goddamn Oscar-worthy. Probably not.
Favourite cast member: Chris Evans seems like a really good person
Character you wish was still alive:
It would have been interesting to keep Hela around
One thing you hope really happens: None of my faves die in Infinity War
Most shocking twist:
I still think the Iron Man 3 twist was really well done! Not least because it gave a chance for Ben Kingsley to do what he does best and eat scenery
When did you start watching/reading: I’ve seen almost every MCU movie since Iron Man back in 2008! I think the only ones I haven’t seen are Doctor Strange and Ant Man
Trope you wish they would stop using: NO MORE CASUALLY REMOVING WOMEN, PLEASE (see: Jane Foster, Betty Ross, Helen Cho, hell where’s Maria gone, etc)
One thing this show/book/film does better than others: Telling really good stories about extraordinary people
Funniest moments: Although I haven’t actually seen Ant Man, I thought all his dialogue in Civil War was hilarious
Couple you would like to see: Please, please show us a loving same-sex relationship
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: I really, really want to see A GOOD TAKE on Harry Osborn done by the MCU, but I don’t know who would play him.
Most boring plotline:
Although I don’t have any particular qualms with the Natasha/Bruce stuff, I guess I do find it a bit boring?
Best flashback/flashfoward if any: The flashback with young Tony in Civil War was great, especially the way they managed to recreate a bb RDJ
Most layered character: Tony’s fascinating even if I don’t always agree with him
Scariest moment: Those EXPLODING PEOPLE in Iron Man 3
Grossest moment: The Red Skull removing his face, ew
Best looking male: Far, far too many to count
Best looking female: Ditto
Who you’re crushing on (if any): EVERYONE IS SO GOOD LOOKING
Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): The first shot of Wakanda is absolutely stunning
Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: The Uncle Ben thing, I hate that he’s not mentioned when he’s so important to the Spider-Man story, and to Peter as a character
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: It’s one of those things that’s always been there, like a warm and very colourful duvet

Doctor Who -onewordtest1

Top 5 favourite characters: Amy, Mickey, Martha, Rory… choosing a fifth is always hard… Clara maybe? Or Bill?
Other characters you like: Honestly I like most of them!
Least favourite character: Oh this one’s hard. I’m going to go the controversial route and say Nine, because of his tendency to bully Mickey/be a jerk in general. Then again, Ten wasn’t much better
Otps: Amy/Rory, Bill/Heather, probably a couple others I forgot
Notps: Eleven/Amy… most Doctor/Companion relationships really
Favourite friendship: SO MANY. Mickey & Jackie will always have a special place in my heart
Favourite family: The Ponds!
Favourite episode: Another hard question but probably Listen? It came along at just the right time for me.
Favourite season/book/movie: Hmmm, Series 5 maybe? Series 3 is very good as well
Favourite quote: There’s over fifty years of great quotes, damn. The “fear can make you kind” speech from Listen is one I really adore though.
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: I grinned so happily when all the Doctors showed up in Day of the Doctor.
When it really disappointed you: I still don’t really like the River/Ponds arc, because it wasn’t treated with the seriousness it deserved I guess
Saddest moment: Oh, there’s so many… Danny’s death perhaps? It packed just the right amount of emotional weight
Most well done character death: See above
Favourite guest star: Doctor Who EXCELS at casting good guest stars and I honestly can’t choose.
Favourite cast member: I love all of them but Karen Gillan especially
Character you wish was still alive: I know Bill isn’t dead, but I wish she would appear in series 11 alongside Thirteen, because it would be perfect and it’s probably not gonna happen now :(
One thing you hope really happens: Uh… see above again
Most shocking twist:
I let out a scream when Jenna Coleman appeared ahead of schedule in Asylum of the Daleks
When did you start watching/reading: Back in 2005!
Trope you wish they would stop using: I think it’s time to retire the “monster that won’t kill you until you [breathe/blink/think/whatever]” trope
One thing this show/book/film does better than others: Showing that the universe is generally a beautiful place full of good people, and that the most unremarkable of people can be heroes if given the chance.
Funniest moments: Almost everything Eleven did was comic gold
Couple you would like to see: I would love to see Thirteen/River and I really hope they do that
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: I heard a rumour that Lee Mack might appear in series 11? I hope so cos I like Lee Mack
Most boring plotline: Doctor Who hasn’t really had many boring plotlines? Hmmm. I suppose the Doctor-Donna plotline only existed to fridge Donna, so I guess it’s the most boring by default
Best flashback/flashfoward if any: I love seeing any flashbacks back to the original Doctors, especially One, I like seeing how they recreate him. I loved the first Gallifrey flashback in… was it Sound of Drums? too.
Most layered character: Amy in my opinion
Scariest moment: THAT ONE FUCKING WEEPING ANGEL
Grossest moment: A lot of the stuff that happened in Love and Monsters was pretty gross
Best looking male: Damn, there’s too many. Shout out to Arthur Darvill and his fabulous pointy face though
Best looking female: Ditto
Who you’re crushing on (if any): Does anyone not have a crush on Karen Gillan
Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): Oh there’s so many of these too. The place Amy goes to in The Girl Who Waited, with all the twisty plants, that’s gorgeous
Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: So much about River’s early life, but I suppose some of this might be answered in the books and audios I haven’t gotten hold of
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: Right from The End of the World!
