You know, I just thought the look on Yondu’s face is “Hot damn, we survive this, you my daughter now. We both blue, we both batshit crazy, had hard lives–Peter will be your brother, but it won’t be that bad, he’s a little shit but he’s not a bad guy. And I find that steroid using raisin who called you his daughter before I’m gonna light him up like a reaver funeral.”
And then I got sad because that’s never gonna happen.

I think it’s significant that when giving Yondu’s eulogy, Peter specifically describes him as a ‘pretty cool dad’ in call back to the Mary Poppins y’all moment. That was a moment when Yondu, having shown himself willing to cross the universe and defy a planet-god for Peter, also made himself vulnerable, and Peter recognised it and read between the lines of what he was trying to say. So rather than trying to say that Yondu was a good dad, he reaches back to that moment when they connected and understood each other, and allows that to stand for the relationship, flaws and all.

Least favourite character: I LOVE to HATE Ego
Otps: Peter/Gamora! But I also believe that pretty much everyone in this particular verse is bi
Notps: Well, Meredith/Ego would have to be the BIG one, actually Anyone/Ego
Favourite friendship: The whole Guardians together, and also I really want Nebula and Kraglin to be friends
Favourite family: THE GUARDIANS (including Nebula, Mantis, Kraglin and Yondu!) And the Yondu/Peter father-son redemptive relationship quickly became one of my favourites

Favourite season/book/movie: VOL 2
Favourite quote: There’s a lot, but “I’m sorry I didn’t do none of it right” “What’s so wrong with that” and “You will always be my sister” stab me riiiiight in the heart. There’s probably a whole bunch I’m forgetting too
Moment that made you fangirl/boy the hardest: Seeing the Guardians at the end of the Infinity War trailer was a pretty scream-out-loud moment
When it really disappointed you: I still don’t like that the first GOTG uses the male gaze so much
Saddest moment: YONDU, EVERYTHING ABOUT YONDU
Most well done character death: YONDU AGAIN, everything about his death is so well done
Favourite guest star: I dunno who really counts as a guest star but I like Tommy Flanagan as Tullk!
Favourite cast member: Oh man I find it so hard to choose. Can I just go for Karen Gillan again
Character you wish was still alive:
Weirdly I actually don’t wish Yondu was still alive because his death was so perfect? I think… even though it would obviously change everything… Meredith. What happened to her was so, so cruel.
One thing you hope really happens: Peter meets his grandparents again!!
Most shocking twist:
“It broke my heart to put that tumor in her head.” (To my delight ever since, people gasped in the theatre when that was said)
When did you start watching/reading:
With the first movie back in 2014
Trope you wish they would stop using: Hmm… does this count considering it’s just the promo material? I wish they’d stop making Zoe Saldana contort herself for the posters so both her chest and backside can be seen. All movie poster people need to quit that
One thing this show/book/film does better than others: Talking about the complications of trauma and abuse in a funny and creative way, so that children (who may be most in need of help) can understand
Funniest moments: "I’m Mary Poppins, y’all!” Appears to have rightly become iconic
Couple you would like to see: Mantis/Nebula, though it probably won’t happen
Actor/Actress you want to join the cast: I don’t know, but someone good to play Adam Warlock please
Most boring plotline:
Ronan was a bit of a boring villain despite being played by Lee Pace
Best flashback/flashfoward if any: All Peter’s flashbacks in GOTG2 ;-;
Most layered character: That’s tricky? I like analyzing Yondu best. But all of them, really.
Scariest moment: Ego turning into that freaky skeleton thing, I Do Not Like Skeletons
Grossest moment: Eh, let’s just say anything involving Ego
Best looking male: All of them. Michael Rooker gets a shoutout though, for looking really good despite being old enough to be my dad

Who you’re crushing on (if any): I’m gonna say the same thing I said for the Doctor Who questions, Does anyone not have a crush on Karen Gillan
Most beautiful scene (scenery/shot wise): Ego’s planet is fricking gorgeous, until you realise what’s beneath it
Unanswered question/continuity issue/plot error that bugs you: How are Peter’s grandparents doing? :(
At what point did you fall in love with this show/book: When I saw Vol 2 in theatres! I fell SO UTTERLY in love with it.
