So this is me, from NYCC last October. Last day, Sunday.
I met this little girl outside the convention on the last day. She had a little Captain America dress on, and a plushie shield. She made the convention for me.
And her parents were SO HAPPY that she got to have her picture taken with a Captain America. Particularly a female one, because Cap was her favourite character and all.
Probably my very best convention experience, in all of the ones I’ve ever been to.
One of my neighbours slipped this under my door while I was practising, I thought they were going to make a noise complaint but they just had a request. I played it with my windows open and I heard really loud clapping come from a balcony a few stories up which was super lovely. I’m in such a lovely mood now it’s so nice to be appreciated.
It feels lovely, especially because Tom Holland is a really, really great actor, He was in this movie ‘The Impossible’ and he was just this incredibly powerful, sensitive, just wonderful young actor. And he’s a dancer, so his body’s the right form.
I’m just really excited to just be a fan again as opposed to bearing the weight of it.
