My favourite theory ever is that Dooku hates Anakin so much because he’s actually far more similar to Dooku than Dooku himself is comfortable with.

Dooku will deny this of course because as a padawan he was definitely much more civilized & disciplined and sulking doesn’t count as whiny nooooo sulking in silence is just his way of ‘asserting his independent will’. He wasn’t like other padawans with their ‘nerf like unthinking “yes master”s’. Also, he totally did not come from an outer rim’ dust ball. He wasn’t some backwater prophetic utter nonsense in his esteemed opinion ‘discovery’. He was, is, nobility, destined for greatness. He was after all under the tutelage of Yoda himself. Anakin was what, picked up for like two days by Dooku, (His own hopeless ‘hippie’ padawan before went and get himself killed ugh he had some potential. Absolute waste) and then handed down to Kenobi! Kenobi who wasn’t even Knighted yet! Trust Qui-Gon to leave a legacy of pathetic life forms. What a besmirching of his lineage.

I always wonder if Dooku ever interacted with Xanatos, and I suspect he probably did.
