reasons why you cannot even come near me right now:

  • MOLLY HOOPER
  • the fact that Molly is Sherlock’s medical knowledge mind palace avatar
  • the fact that she fuckin’ hauled off and SLAPPED HIM
  • THREE TIMES
  • and then DEMANDED HE APOLOGIZE
  • for being a FUCKING DICKHEAD
  • and BETRAYING THE LOVE OF HIS FRIENDS
  • there is a QUEEN in the mind palace
  • and her name is
  • MOLLY
  • FUCKING
  • HOOPER

Sherlock’s admission to Molly that Moriarty’s greatest slip-up was that “the one person that he thought didn’t matter at all to me, was the one person who mattered the most,” felt like the first time we’ve seen him showing genuine unchecked feeling for someone else. (x)

#in a lot of ways to me   #molly is the woman   #not irene?   #because he sure seems to respect the hell out of her   #he thinks shes just wonderful and special and what i love is   #she isn’t a badass   #i mean   #in a traditional way   #so how did molly become the woman that sherlock holmes loves and respects?   #by being loving and nurturing and emotional and asking for nothing in return for kindness   #not devaluing irene   #and he role in te story   #but i love how important molly is   #despite the fact that shes clealy unaware of it  (via theongreyjoy)

I have this really complex headcanon/would-be fanfic involving Sally Donovan:

Basically, her and Sherlock are actually friends who have a weird love-hate type thing going on. And Sherlock really respects Sally, so much so that he goes to her one day and he’s like “Hey, Donovan, I need people to think I’m a dick who’s very unpopular with the regular detectives and cops, I need this for Reasons.” And she’s like, “That shouldn’t be too hard,” and they banter back and forth and eventually she says, “Well, I’m a good actress in addition to being a good cop, if you want someone to show up and insult you and pretend to really hate you I can EASILY do that.” “Thank you!”

So that happens for a while, and Sherlock will sometimes phone Donovan and say things like “Sorry I inferred you were shagging Anderson.” “I am shagging Anderson.” “Oh.” Later: “Can you make sure to highlight the odd contents of my fridge?” “I was planning to anyway, I’ve seen the eyeballs.”

And then later he calls her up at a random time and says “Donovan I need you to make sure everyone thinks I’m a fraud and possibly dangerous.” “OH JESUS CHRIST ALRIGHT,” and she feels a bit weird doing it but luckily it’s one of those times where his main priority (evading Moriarty) and hers (making sure absolutely no more trauma or harm comes to the kidnapped children) line up.

And then Sherlock dies but she’s fairly sure he didn’t really, and then she sees him in the street one day and (in relief, if she’s being honest) shouts “Hey, freak!” and he shouts back, “Go scrub a floor, detective!” and John is very confused and none the wiser til Sherlock explains it, the end.

I have watched all of Elementary! Over a period of several days! It was good. It was very good. (I have subtitled it “Clever People Who Are Also Nice”)

Both Sherlock and Watson are compassionate, kind people in this one! Which is a hell of a lot closer to the original than the detached-ness of Sherlock.

I knew about the Irene-Moriarty reveal but it was still very well done. Natalie Dormer was great. (Which accent was her real one? I have no idea.) In a way, I’m almost disappointed that ‘Irene’ wasn’t real, because she was really interesting by herself, but I guess that’s the idea.

EVERYTHING ABOUT the finale was…probably the best thing anyone’s done with Sherlock Holmes in years. Damn. It was clever and engrossing and a love letter to Watson and it was called ‘Heroine’ (heroin, gettit?) and it was MARVELOUS. Yes. I’m very excited for Season Two!
