honestly Pokemon go is probably going to help a lot with people who have depression because rather than laying in bed all day we are getting up and going outside and actually enjoying ourselves rather than laying in bed all day
someone already reblogged this saying how much is helps this is wonderful thank u Pokemon
I’m crying
i think it’s time to flood my dash with positive pokemon go stuff
i dont have enough money to upgrade my phone to something that pokemon go will even attempt to run on so in the meantime im living vicariously through everyones stories which have been anywhere between adorable, hilarious, and terrifying
so far ive heard of
a guy discovering the town hes lived in for 10 years and getting enthralled by local history he keeps learning about on park plaques
finding magikarp in your shower
someone got arrested for walking around a graveyard at 3 am looking??? for??? pokemon??? hol y shit? or something like that???
the police station memo in australia politely and cutely asking “budding pokemon trainers” not to actually come in to the police station for the sandshrew sneaking around in there, and that they can catch it by being close to the building, and to “look both ways before crossing the street”
speaking of which, some person who had pokego for only 15 minutes and successfully crossed a 4 lane intersection for a pokemon
someone went out to catch pokemon and found an actual baby bird and is now attempting to take care of it and research the proper ways of caring and aiding a small bird in recovery
literally asked by my boss today to look into making our library a gym for pokemon go, I frigging love my job sometimes
…that’s not a half-bad idea, assuming I can ever play the game.
Fellow librarian chiming in that a lot of people’s libraries were just sort of…naturally slated as Gyms/PokeStops, and as a result they’ve already seen a little bit of increased traffic from players. Pretty cool!
Libraries can be marked as gyms
I work in a tiny library
The only person who works in the library is me
Therefore, I am a gym leader.
how quickly did digimon/pokemon cards/yu gi oh cards get banned at your school and why?
pokemon cards got banned after a month because this one kid, scotty, would sit at the top of the jungle gym on the playground while like other kids gathered around him and he would make the kids around him do physical challenges and favors for him and then throw the cards into the audience of like 40 kids. anyway scotty is in jail now (not related to Pokemon cards i’m assuming)
free scotty
They got banned within months, because kids were selling them for money
