There was a terrorist attack on a Pride event in Berlin not long ago. To be honest I think most of the “people” commenting on it on my corner of Facebook were bots. Maybe. I don’t know.
I (white middle-class Brit) grew up going to child-friendly drag shows. They were called “pantomimes” and they were very popular. They were a family-friendly Christmas activity, you’d go to the theater and there would be sing-alongs for the kids and the odd naughty joke from the drag queen. My primary school would take everyone out to one when Christmas rolled round.
This was VERY NORMAL in the UK. Drag queens were NORMAL. They were on TV, they were in movies, they were NORMAL. Let’s take a look at the reaction to this horrific story about an innocent man labelled as a pedophile for being a drag queen.
Huh…. I guess no-one cares about white British cultural heritage anymore.
It was Eid on… Friday? Look I don’t know anything about Eid, I just know the Muslim community has a big celebration and I see lots of people around in nice sparkly outfits.
There was a party in Victoria Park! Children and adults alike. Everyone was welcome regardless of religion. Let’s what the Facebook userbase has to say about it.
First of all, Karen Hilton wants you to know that she saw an event where Muslim children were playing and instantly wished death on those children. A horrible, slow death at that, since that’s what being bombed does to you. She was unashamed of saying this in public and multiple people liked that she said it.
Nigel Moore can’t see non-white people having fun without thinking of the ways in which he could hurt them.
Sarah Collin loves Britain so much she almost learned to spell it!
There was a fence and they did have to pay to get in. However I think Michelle Stanley is complaining that if she turned up, she… wouldn’t have had to pay?
