The Freema Agyeman Appreciation post
Becoming tired of the negativity on the OG, I thought I’d make a list of reasons Freema deserves fangirling.
1. Making 42 a pretty good episode instead of a ‘meh’ one. I particularly love the phone conversation between her and her mother. It really makes the episode for me, especially the last phone call when you can hear the relief and concern in her voice.

2. Being absolutely brilliant in Human Nature. She takes on the Family, tells Joan where to go, and generally is all kinds of awesome. Human Nature was so, so good. I think it’s probably Freema’s best performance, although all of them are good.
3. The chemistry between her and John Barrowman. It makes me want to ship Martha/Jack.
4. The hurt on her face at “It’s like when you fancy someone and they don’t even know you exist”
5. This bit. In fact, she was great in all of ‘The Sound Of Drums’.
6. She used to be a Trekkie!
7. She understands the fans, never has a bad word to say about any of us, and geniunely seems to love her job and the show.

She is a genuinely nice person with time for everyone. I’ve not met her personally (yet), but everyone whom I know who has met her, says the same thing. She throws herself into everything in such an enthusiastic manner (see: “Blue Peter” just last week, for instance). She’s a geek AND she’s sexy! Rawr!!

Yeah, I agree. The thing I really love about her is her fabulous positivity – when she’s interviewed on Confidential, she’s clearly loving every minute of it and having a fantastic time. You’re so right about number 7 – I met her (disappointingly briefly) at the HMV signing last November, and she was really lovely and friendly to everyone who spoke with her. She’s brought so much to both the character of Martha, and the programme as a whole (and Torchwood too). She rocks, frankly.

She’s adorable and always seem to love what she’s doing and always comes off as geniune and normal when she’s interveiwed. She was awesome at the audiobook and omg, she’s BEAUTIFUL. She brought Martha Jones to life in a way that I’m not sure would have worked with any other actress and made me as batshit as I am for her. She gets over-excited and it’s the cutest thing ever. She takes any comments about her in newspapers (*cough*The Sun*cough*) in her stride and doesn’t seem to hold any grudges against the insane Rosefen. She has the capacity to make straight women gay for her. She made me ship Martha Jones with everyone she’s ON SCREEN with because she has great chemistry with almost everyone. She’s just generally awesome ♥

She has a fantastic body (just look at her arse in that scan!), face and personality. Yup, I fancy her rotten!
