I promised triptych, but it somehow grew bigger ))))
Ok, so the AU is that Anakin didn’t turn to the Dark side, but fought Sidious and won. But he was seriously wounded and soon died (after all, the whole point of his life was to fulfill the Prophecy). Padme gave birth to the twins, but she also did not live long afterwards. Jedi council, being the jerks they are, decided that since Anakin broke the Code, he shouldn’t be given the proper jedi funeral. So Anakin was buried with Padme.
Obi-wan raised the twins, and when he himself died, he reunited with Padme and Anakin. *_*

And yes, in the last picture he is holding Anakin’s snippet and padawan braid.

it’s also a part of my flower meaning series: the flowers here are-

Camellia – The camellia flower speaks to the heart and expresses positive feelings. It’s most common meanings are: desire or passion refinement, perfection & excellence, faithfulness & longevity

Gladiolus -The gladiolus flower symbolizes honor and remembrance, but it has other meanings too. It can also symbolize the following: Strength of character, faithfulness, sincerity and integrity, infatuation, never giving up

they both share those flowers.

I tend to think that Qui-Gon realised that his and Obi-Wan’s partnership was meant to be the day Obi-Wan brought back a Pathetic Lifeform of his own. Like say it’s chucking it down on some world where they are and Obi-Wan hears this pathetic mewling and it’s this sodden cat and he keeps it close to him all day (inside his robes, maybe inside his hood like he’s seen Qui-Gon do to the PLs) and Qui-Gon lights up when he sees what Obi-Wan has brought back to their quarters
