my stuff

From George Blagden’s Twitter: “Would ghost R follow around ghost E?” “Yes, but without him ever catching sight of him.”

Which is such a tragic idea to throw out there that I had to make something,  so I did. Here’s Enjolras wandering around modern-day Paris. Sometimes people see him out of the corner of their eye, or as a red blur in photographs. Tourists sometimes feel a slight chill in the air when eating at the burger place where the Cafe Musain once stood.

Very few people ever see the other man, but he’s there all right. He followed the one he loved into death and he’ll keep following. But on a summer’s day in the year 2005- an unremarkable day by all accounts- Enjolras finally, finally catches sight of him. This is the moment before he turns around. No-one apart from Grantaire sees his smile…but I bet it was something to see.

Fic: Detail (Les Mis- E/R, R’s sister.)

The original screenplay for the Les Miserables movie had a tiny snippet of Grantaire’s sister and Enjolras’s mother looking for their bodies, which is what inspired this. It’s more book-canon than film-canon, I think- basically, what happened after E&R’s last heartbreaking scene.

I am still very new to this fandom so forgive any glaring errors. *sheepish*

It can be found on AO3, or:

Ursula ships it.

The boy she spent a movie madly crushing on now has a girlfriend and she’s not jealous she’s happy and encouraging (and I think we can assume she likes Mary Jane, too.) Oh Ursula, my lovely mature sweet underappreciated baby.

(You did your female characters REALLY well, Spider-Man trilogy. I’ll never stop loving you for that.)

Rory Williams character study: I know

Now. Amy tells Rory she can’t have children- that’s the big awful secret that drove their relationship almost to breakdown- and he says he knows. He knew all along she couldn’t have children!? Wait, what?

So…I think Rory did know, he knew perfectly well she couldn’t have kids- but he thought she meant psychologically. After having one child under such terrible circumstances, and pretty much having to give it up, Rory would probably understand perfectly well that another kid wasn’t a good option for Amy. He knew, he’d accepted it a long time ago.

Watch his face in the last gif, when Amy starts talking about Demon’s Run. That’s a look of realisation and horror. He thought he knew what was going on- maybe that was even the reason for the earlier I love you more than you love me; a case of I tell you important things but you don’t extend me the same courtesy, I want to help you but I have to guess at your secrets!

But he was wrong.

Let’s play, “Spot the Emily”

I’ve dedicated far too much time to this: there’s two pictures of Emily, one on the wall of the Osborn manor and one smaller one that Harry seems to take around with him. (There it is on the shelf in the apartment).

Her picture is in front of the safe Harry keeps his valuable things behind, but by Spider-Man 3 Norman’s picture is there instead and Emily’s been demoted to the desk.

Even though she’s mentioned only once in all three movies “Your mother was beautiful too, they’re all beautiful” her presence can still sort of be felt, she’s there in the background quite a bit…
