MJ/Gwen if I’m not too late please!

windona:

A/N: It lasts until midnight EST!

The music was bopping in the club. Multicolored lights drenched the club, making even the dark areas look bright and cheery.

Gwen laughed as MJ put her hands on Gwen’s hips, and they swayed to the music. Gwen responded by putting her arms on MJ’s shoulder, and threading her fingers through MJ’s hair.

It was a light, airy night. No sadness, no heaviness, just fun.

The music sped up, and their dancing tempo sped up in return. Gwen tugged slightly, then configured herself so she pulled MJ into a half turn, leading to MJ’s back pressing up against Gwen’s chest.

“Love you cherry,” Gwen said against MJ’s ear.

MJ laughed. “Love you too,” she said, kissing Gwen in the middle of the club.

Character thing: Harry Osborn and Mary Jane? 616 continuity.

I’m really behind on 616 continuity but I’ll do my best!

Harry Osborn:

general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life
hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang (but it varies from artist to artist really)
hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff
best quality: Is SO MUCH BETTER than his circumstances could’ve made him. Also is generous and kindhearted and mostly a good friend
worst quality: I want to say he has none but he has plenty. He was pretty horrible to both Peter and Liz in his Green Goblin days
ship them with: PETER, also Liz, also sometimes MJ, he’s a very shippable dude
brotp them with: also PETER, and MJ, and Gwen
misc. thoughts: Please MCU writers if you include him don’t fuck him up please please please

Mary Jane Watson

general opinion: fall in a hole and die | don’t like them | eh | they’re fine I guess | like them! | love them | actual love of my life
hotness level: get away from me | meh | neutral | theoretically hot but not my type | pretty hot | gorgeous! | 10/10 would bang
hogwarts house: gryffindor | slytherin | ravenclaw | hufflepuff
best quality: Overcame a shitty upbringing to be confident and brave and compassionate
worst quality: Used to be kinda flighty and immature but soon got over it
ship them with: PETER, sometimes Gwen every now and then
brotp them with: Gwen and Harry mostly
misc. thoughts: Why, why why wasn’t Zendaya cast to play her instead of a kinda amalgamation character who shares part of her name, she’d have been so good (I mean, she was good anyway, but still.)

“We took all the credit for casting a black actress as a beloved white character, and then pulled the rug out from under everyone.”

iputabirdonmyhead:

ugh the moment in the first sam raimi spider-man movie when harry is criticizing mary jane for not wearing back because his father likes black, and she’s like, “maybe he’ll be impressed no matter what”–that must’ve been so hard for someone with low self confidence i’m so proud of her

I love Harry but a good boyfriend he was not, and she was right to ditch him

Stan Lee’s meeting with his wife Joan as retold in ‘Amazing Fantastic Incredible: A Marvelous Memoir’

Bonus :

This gets better when you realize Peter Parker was both Stan’s favourite personal creation and that he saw him as a stand in for himself.

Reposting in memory of Joan Lee

RIP

iputabirdonmyhead:

Just a reminder that in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy, Mary Jane Watson is a lonely girl who seems happy on the outside but suffers abuse at home that shapes her perception of herself for years to come, as each and every let down seems like a direct result of her own failure as a woman and a person, We see her fight for what she wants, stand up for herself, grow empathetic and forgiving and generous with her heart, be flawed and selfish and angry and human, chase after her dreams, and continue to fight every day through the mundane cycle of life because by the end she finally knows she deserves to be happy. And that is a hell of a character arc. And I’m still grateful we got it.
