Personally, I see him as being non-monosexual in that he’s attracted to men and women (but pretty exclusively in love with Enjolras because he’s got it bad, honestly), only he feels like he has to play up his attraction to women in a theatrical manner in order to make himself seem less vulnerable.
He’s a depressed, conventionally unattractive alcoholic who’s in love with a man. That is not someone you want to be in 19th century Western Europe.
Man, Gavroche isn’t even my favorite he’s just the most fun to draw. Plus a bonus Enjolras.
Ah, Enjolras. So absolute. So symbolic. So COMPLETELY OUT OF HIS DEPTH against an 11 year old. XD
I’m glad you have fun drawing Gavroche, because I cannot get over your design for him! HIS TINY LITTLE FEET AND HIS POSTURE AND EVERYTHING he’s such a high-power engine of destruction and it’s GREAT.
2. After every episode, there is a preview for the next. The people who talk through these previews are little shits.
3. Little Cosette, Azelma and Eponine are adorable.
4. Enjolras is an inspiration.
5. Quality moments of classic Pontmercy.
6. Courfeyrac’s lack of boundaries.
7. ExR, baby.
8. The insightful introspection of the main characters.
9. There are some communication breakdowns when it comes to French names.
If that hasn’t convinced you, consider the following: Gavroche has a dog sidekick (that’s bigger than him) for some reason, you get to see Enjolras’ reaction to fangirls, Montparnasse is involved, and, oh yeah, it’s Les Mis.
She requested Valjean interacting with the amis and my mind immediately jump to this.
Aaaah, first time I saw this was on mobile with the entire right half of the image cut off, I kept scrolling up and down going “that is a lovely Valjean but are the Amis hiding or what???” Now that I can see it PROPERLY I love it even more (and aaah what a gorgeous sky).
