Man, Gavroche isn’t even my favorite he’s just the most fun to draw. Plus a bonus Enjolras.
Ah, Enjolras. So absolute. So symbolic. So COMPLETELY OUT OF HIS DEPTH against an 11 year old. XD
I’m glad you have fun drawing Gavroche, because I cannot get over your design for him! HIS TINY LITTLE FEET AND HIS POSTURE AND EVERYTHING he’s such a high-power engine of destruction and it’s GREAT.
friendly reminder that when gavroche sacrificed himself to the revolution it was after seeing his big sister be the first to fall at the barricades (◕‿◕✿)
From this featurette about Sam Barks. I mean, I’m assuming this is a scene being rehearsed or filmed- the people talking in the background make me wonder- but Sam definitely seems to be in full-on Eponine mode, so…
I have no idea what lines she’s singing, as this bit in the video has a voiceover, but I’m guessing it would be “We were children together/Look what’s become of me” as Sam’s expressions are close to what they were for that bit in the final film, and because it’s a nice nod to Eponine and Gavroche being brother and sister.

Look, I’m not saying that Victor Hugo was listening to Bon Jovi’s We Weren’t Born To Follow when writing Les Mis. I’m just saying it’s a possibility, is all.
