I’ve been so excited for Bill’s return, but recently I read a quote (by Mackie?) that suggested this won’t be post-TDF

Bill and may not even be Bill but some kind of manifestation of her. Which is such a huge downer for me. But at least if this is true I know and can steel myself ahead of time instead of being disappointed upon transmission. (But still hoping it’s not true. Let us have actual Bill in all her transformative puddle glory!)

I’ve heard speculation about that too but oh maaaaan I hope it’s not true. This article says “there’s a bit of a mystery” about how Bill is back?

I was 20 pages into the script. It was going quite well but I thought, ‘I want Bill to witness this. I want Bill to notice that they’re the same man. I want Bill to say things to him.’

I can’t link to this (because it’s not online anywhere) but it is really interesting to me that she was’t originally planned to be in it. I have to wonder if it’s going to be her that’s the voice of the critique of the past because if so, very well played.

I’ve never read a Moffat script before. (Or a script, really, beyond plays for summer camp, but they weren’t like this.)

Agreed.  This episode is just crap.  Total and utter crap.  There is some really bad writing and ideas in the Whoniverse, and that includes a lot of Torchwood. 

Me: I’m gonna make a post celebrating something I love about Moffat’s era of Doctor Who. I’m going to invest time in it and post it up so other people can celebrate this thing with me.
