Top 5 DW moments -taiey

Oooh OOOOH this is a tricky one. In reverse order:

5. The Doctor and Amy take Van Gogh forward in time (Vincent and the Doctor)

4. Rory’s over-the-top, dramatic, glorious entrance as the Last Centurion (A Good Man Goes To War)

3. The Doctor and Rose’s conversation at the end of The End of the World

2. All the Doctors flying in to save the day! (The Day of the Doctor)

1. The Twelfth Doctor’s ‘Scared is a superpower’ speech, I needed to hear that and still do. (Listen)

Is Han in the prequels? Or his parents, or anything? ‘Cause I’ve never heard of that, and I think I would’ve, but it’s weird if he did the backstory for everyone down to Greedo and Boba Fett, but not Han Organa. -taiey

Actually, the plan was for a young Han to appear in Revenge of Sith! There’s concept art of him in my Revenge of the Sith book! But I think gradually it was decided to just leave him out of it, which was IMO the right decision

(Chewie is in it, though.)

Thunderbirds -taiey

Oh nice! Have you ever watched it?

[Going by everyone’s 2015 incarnations, although I still think of the original and the reboot being essentially the same show]

Favorite Male Character: At the moment, it’s a toss-up between Scott and John. Scott because he’s got the Burden Of Responsibility thing going on, which is a character trope I enjoy, and John because he’s a weird loner space geek who keeps nearly getting himself killed by his own heroics

Favorite Female Character: Kayo! Of all the characters, she might be the one most improved from her original version, not least because now she gets to do stuff other than cook for the male characters.

Least Favorite Character: I’m not sure I really have one

Favorite Ship: I’m not sure I really have one of those either, so I’ll cheat and name my favourite ship. Thunderbird 2! With 4 a very close second.

Favorite Friendship: The bro-ship between all the brothers.

Favorite Quote: Hmmmm I dunno. It’s not a very quote-y show

Worst Character Death (if any): THERE HAS NEVER BEEN ONE! Ha! I mean, on some level it’s sad to think that in the reboot Jeff is dead (well, probably dead). But on the other hand, he basically got fridged for the character development of everybody else, so I think it was a good decision on the writer’s part

This made me so happy you have no idea Moment: The bit in “Recharge” where Scott confesses how much his father’s death has really hit him

Saddest Moment: Er….see above

Favorite Location: Everyone who’s ever watched Thunderbirds in their life has wanted to live on Tracy Island, right? That one.
