Without money for next neurologist’s appointment, I’ll lose my doctor & could face HORRIFIC abuse.

Today is the FINAL day to raise $1,473 for medical fees & related disability care. PLEASE HELP ME.

I have been disabled
and confined to bed for 4 years (medical reports), making me extremely vulnerable. In the past, I have been coerced into hospital by doctors and
physically abused by patient transport staff. After psychiatists’ attempts to
remove medical consent rights for a lifetime (guardianship) failed, ALL medical care was removed from me as revenge for
refusing harmful treatments. 

Non-attendance at my first neurologist’s appointment in 14 months will trigger re-referral to a doctor likely to be as abusive as those previous doctors. I desperately need help with consultation fees and payment of existing $933 disability care bill – esp as I can’t even wear clothes to the appointment unassisted. (”keep reading” for details).

The question above has been through the mind of Chefi, an extremely close friend of my family,  since a week ago, when his wife Aida died after giving birth due to a postpartum bleeding that led into a postpartum infection. He found himself with a little babygirl to raise all by himself. Aida, his late wife, already knew there would be complications during the whole birth process, since her frail complexion, diabetes and chronic anemia didn’t make things easier. She wanted to go on until the end, admitting to be unable to live a life in which she knew she was the reason of her firstborn’s death. Chefi accepted her decision, unable to go against her beliefs, which he accepted as his own after converting to islam to get the blessing of his in-laws, habitants of El-Aaiún, Sahara. 

Nearly 48h after Aida had the baby, the lacerations on her genital area got infected, as well as the interior of her uterus, cause her inmense pain, swelling, drowsiness and a fever that reached 40ºC (104ºF). She was given antibiotics and fed intravenously, but her body was too spent, too weak, too gone. She passed away in her sleep, leaving Chefi alone with the proof of their love. He named her Aisha, which means alive. She was alive and well, her cheeks rosy, her eyes as hipnotizing as her mother’s.

Chefi, although proud of her wife’s efforts, is now in the hands of depression and without resources, highly needed when it comes to firstborns. Know how to help him under the cut:

 Some donators already know, but I thought I would share this with everyone: the baby has acute asthma and we’re having a really hard time because of it.  

Aisha is just a month old but around a week ago she started wheezing and her breathing was too fast, even in her sleep. Since she’s not legally registered in our country yet, we had to take her to the ER without a health care card and the doctor, luckily, pretended not to see and attended us anyways. After denying that it was a cold or allergies, he diagnosed her with asthma. That same night, she had an acute asthma attack and we had to run to the nearest pharmacy to get an inhaler. As mentioned beforehand, she does not have a health care card, so we had to spend over 100€ on a Serevent inhaler cause we didn’t have a health insurance to cover up the damage.

Those were our funds for this month, for groceries and baby formula, which, by clicking on the link shared on our last update, you can see how annoyingly expensive it is.

We also had to buy some Aerius syrup for 15€, some Pulmicort for 57€ and a new set of hypoallergenic sheets and blankets (since the doctor said they help avoid dusting) for 85€ on a specialized shop. Those three items were bought with part of my college scholarship since the father of the baby is absolutely penniless. 

The problem is, the baby and her father live in a very small apartment by the beach that has little to no ventilation, making her efforts to breathe even more tedious. After talking to a company that sells gas tanks to treat asthmatics, they gave us a budget for a big gas tank so the baby could use on a daily basis. The thing is, we don’t have 1275€ for the tank, not even 15€ for the nasal cannula, which would avoid to cover the whole baby’s face with a mask, making her a bit more comfortable with her treatment. We’re flat broke since I can’t spend any more funds from my scholarship: I still need the money to pay for my daily expenses as a college student. 

All of this, of course, remembering that the shipping of the so-needed gas tank would be 330€, because it’s not exactly a light item. It would take a week to arrive once purchased. 

At this point we’re literally begging for help. Chefi hasn’t moved on, he’s still on Prozac to help him cope with depression, jobless and without a single cent on his wallet. And before you ask: yes, I’m paying for his anti-depressants too. His in-laws, the parents of Aida, don’t wanna help us either, they have even stopped caring about the baby since she’s “the reason they don’t have their daughter anymore”. They know a 18-year-old is feeding a grown man and they honestly don’t care. They don’t answer to messages and even blocked Chefi once. 

If you have relatives, friends, teachers or literally anyone that cares, please help us. You don’t have to be a Muslim to help, just anyone with good intentions. Don’t feel bad if you can donate only 1$, that dollar alone would push us a bit closer to our goal.

Four years ago, a fall down a defective sstaircase left me completely confined to bed for life, requiring 24 hour care that costs thousands each week. [Medical reports]. My weakness has increased to
the point I often need to hold in my breath to recuperate. Without compensation to pay for healthcare, my deterioration would accelerate and at the age of 22, I am terrified of having a fraction of a normal life expectancy.

The rest of my life will be decided at an upcoming court hearing to determine whether I can sue for personal injury compensation despite the length of time since the accident. [Court docs]. Success at this hearing absolutely requires a barrister. To pay both the barrister and the usual legal fees, almost $10,000 must be raised within 21 days, including $2,449 by tomorrow. Without this, I CANNOT continue my claim.

I have been disabled by complex regional pain syndrome from an accident and this completely prevents me from sitting & walking and confines me to my bed 24/7. I’m estranged from family; my life itself would be at risk without donations to pay carers whom I rely on to retrieve food & water. An exemplary care worker will almost certainly quit within days without prompt payment. 

My $757 in debts to my friend are preventing her from escaping domestic violence. Recently my friend witnessed her abusive uncle physically attacking his wife and son, who was forced to defend himself with a knife. My friend sincerely believed her uncle would murder the entire household (including her) during this incident. The REPEATED delays in repaying her prevented finding a safe home and will force her to return to similar dangers within weeks.

A pastor says donations of bottled water to his Flint church have dried up in the past month.

Donations poured in from across the nation in the weeks and months after it was learned that Flint’s drinking water was contaminated with lead. At times, the response nearly overwhelmed the effort to distribute water to Flint residents.  

Bishop Roger Lee Jones’ north side church parking lot used to be filled with pallets of water, but now the flood of donations has slowed to a trickle.

I’m a severely physically disabled 22 year old woman (medical reports linked) and was lent money by my friend to pay for relocation to a permanent home, following a tumultuous period when I was in hiding from serious medical abuse (message me for evidence). 

My friend lives in a small town and has had to stay with her abusive uncle to attend university in Melbourne. This poses serious dangers to her. During an incident she witnessed in Oct 2016, her uncle hit his wife so hard that she fell to the floor, then punched his 17 year old son, who had to protect himself with a knife and has long faced repeated abuse from his father. My friend sincerely believed that her uncle would kill his wife and son, then kill her. She CANNOT return to this situation.

An alternative apartment needs to be found before her uni semester recommences and this requires money. The remaining $1,379 I owe her (incl. gofundme fees) absolutely must be raised before the Stripe transfer at 8pm EST today or she will not find a safe home in time.

Due to my physical disability, in late 2016 I was targeted with attempted psychiatric abuse and had to escape to hotel rooms that I could not afford (msg me for proof). Relocation from the hotel necessitated borrowing money from a friend who now needs it back very urgently.

My friend M (full name excluded for privacy) lives in a small town and has had to stay with her abusive uncle to attend university in Melbourne. During a particularly serious incident in Oct 2016, M’s uncle hit his wife so hard that she fell to the ground, then punched his 17 year old son who had to protect himself with a knife and has long faced repeated abuse from his father. M – who witnessed this – believed that her uncle would kill his wife and son, then kill her. My friend CANNOT return to the situation for the sake of her safety.  

I absolutely must raise the remaining $1,410 in debt BY TOMORROW (Sunday Jan 29 EST) so that she can find an apartment now before semester recommences. Delays will force her to return to her uncle’s home.

I’m a 21 year old with a severe physical disability (proof) from an accident 4 years ago. I’m completely bedbound and unable to care for myself – including being unable to even walk to a tap or open my front door to receive a food delivery. My life  is entirely dependent on assistance from home care workers, funded from donations. I also need the care workers and a social worker to help me complete extensive paperwork for disability services that I had been denied for 4 years through medical discrimination. Over these 4 years, my condition has deteriorated to the point of usually experiencing agonising spinal pain from moving my arms & hands at all. Now finally able to submit applications backed by medical reports, I will still be reliant on donations unless care workers and a social worker assist me with the extensive application forms. The social worker was exceptionally important as I also needed her to determine the safety of NDIA occupational therapists, after suffering abuse from OTs, including being told that I should undergo psychiatric treatment simply for complaining about physical pain that the OT inflicted through unsuitable testing methods. 

2 of 4 invoices linked – these are both overdue by close to 2 weeks, services will soon be cut off completely. By the end of the upcoming weekend I will have $0 left in my account for home care and for food which is frankly dangerous. Please help me.
