Una Stubbs, beloved English actress who worked in theatre and on the big and small screen, has died. She was 84. Not only a great actress “but also a wickedly funny, elegant, stylish, graceful, gracious and kind and constant friend. She was also a highly respected and exhibited artist.” Most deepest condolences to her family and friends. Rest In Peace.
Netflix threw me the trailer for School of Rock the other day and I was thinking, oh I should watch that again sometime, it’s a great movie. (It seems to have had a renaissance as of late?) Then yesterday one of the now-adult kids in it, Kevin Clark who played Freddy, died in a completely random road accident. It’s so sad, he was only 32 and had a whole music career ahead of him. Watching the film will be a very different experience now, I feel so terrible for him and his loved ones.
Actor Sean Connery dies today at the age of 90. He and River Phoenix, who died on the same day 27 years ago, were part of Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade (1989) as the father and the young version of Indiana. 🕊
Sigh… this is gonna be another week when it’s RIP notices all the way down, isn’t it? I used to watch Bobby Ball in Not Going Out, I’d always be sure to catch that show.
