This, I think, is one of my favorite elf pictures. I love the adorable baby Legolas grabbing daddy’s hair, and the indulgent attitude of Thranduil along with that tiny smile. Given how few children elves have, proportionate to their lifespan, it really shows how much elves must adore their babies (especially since they regard it as the happiest part of their lives).
And given how Thranduil is angry and/or a hardass throughout most of the books AND movies, seeing his softer side is really very sweet.
