If I ever meet Sean Bean (or Billy Boyd) I’m going to ask them if all of the shots with Boromir guiding Merry and Pippin were scripted. I need to know.

You can almost see the heart eyes.
Barely out of Rivendell and already staying pretty close to them.
Oh what’s that? It’s PIPPIN CARRYING BOROMIR’S SHIELD as they walk in their little threesome behind Gandalf and Frodo.
“That’s okay Pippin, I’ll wait for you and hold out my hand to guide you into the Mines. It could be dark and scary, but I’ll protect you.”
BOROMIR’S RELATIONSHIP WITH THE HOBBITS IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND IMPORTANT!
Someone oughta rec me fic about the Boromir-Merry-Pippin relationship. They totally, totally should.
(Especially anything where the Hobbits learn, even a long time after the fact, that Boromir tried to take the Ring from Frodo before he died. Wouldn’t you have loved to see that scene in the books?)

the shire and attending a took family dinner where he has to kneel in
the living room to eat bc he’s so tall and he has little took kids
climbing all over him calling him “cousin boromir”
