Some other highlights from the Michael Rooker panel at MCM Birmingham:

  • A small child asked “are you single cos my mum’s looking” and Rooker brought the mum in question up to the front and tried to find her a date, it was ridiculously charming
  • A girl in a Pikachu outfit asked a question and Michael Rooker got her to do Pikachu impressions to the crowd
  • Rooker told an actually rather frightening story of how he once nearly died choking on a lemon drop (what a way to go…)
  • I mentioned this once already, but his interactions with the little boy cosplaying as Yondu was just the sweetest thing ever
  • He reassured everyone that Yondu’s soul is still out there in some sense, that was what the arrow was about!
  • When someone asked he claimed he wasn’t in Infinity War, but you never know I guess
  • He also crashed the end of Sean Gunn’s panel which came after!

This is as close as I got to Michael Rooker during the q&a, not bad huh

There was also a moment where an ADORABLE very young child dressed as Yondu spoke up and said something like “when you died in Guardians of the Galaxy I cried!” So Rooker picked him up and carried him around for a bit, which was also adorable. Unfortunately that all happened on the other side of the room so I only got a very blurry photo:

But it was very cute.
