Thunderbirds Are Go – Grandma
Only just realised something but the first American woman to go into space was Sally Ride and as we know the Tracy boys were named after the Mercury Seven astronauts, the first American MEN to go into space we can presume that Grandma Tracy’s name – Sally – was another subtle hint by the TAG production crew!!

I actually really appreciate Grandma Tracy as a character because she’s an old lady who is very capable at her job (the cooking notwithstanding), and she dresses in fairly ‘young’-style clothes but no-one ever makes cracks about her age, and she actually has characterization and relationships with the other characters and BASICALLY (sacrilege!) fridging Jeff in favour of his mother was one of the best decisions the reboot made I think

Grandma Tracy burns cookies cos baking is her coping mechanism and the reason she often burns them is cos she loses track of time worrying if the boys are gonna come home safe.
maybe someone needs to fiddle with the thermostat on the oven and drop it 20-30C or so
It’s occurred to me that by this point she has lost her son, daughter-in-law and husband (presumably)
so she’s probably justified in worrying…
