fallout 4 sanctuary, part 3

the other cool stuff in the area!

here’s the view of sanctuary from the bridge:

my settlers are exceptionally well dressed

Best med bay in the commonwealth (I mean, have you seen some of the others?)

My doctors even have proper lab coats looted from the Institute

gym feat: dogmeat

inside the gym

My beautiful library with almost no books

here’s my awesome market

converted one of the houses into a schoolhouse for the five or so children around

Red Rocket as seen from Sanctuary, we’ll go there next

fallout 4 sanctuary, part 2

the rest of sanctuary!

Here are my junkyard doggies, who never move from this spot for some reason (something to do with the mods)

Here are my KITTIES

close up of a kitty

someone else’s dog

here’s the play area where shaun can play with all his friends!

Welcome to the museum! It’s where I keep my stuff now instead of just chucking it in boxes!

See?

Sanctuary has a bar, of course

It also has a sign that sums up a lot of the Fallout ethos

(part 3 coming soon)

fallout 4 sanctuary, part 1

(I figured it was about time I showed tumblr my fallout settlements, aka “what I’ve wasted countless hours on for months now”)

Okay so! I LOVED how pretty pre-war Sanctuary was, to the extent that I decided to go completely against the game’s aesthetic/spirit and just….install a mod that put Sanctuary back to its pre-war state. I DON’T REGRET IT

(I don’t know why that one guy is standing on the roof, either.)

Lemme give you the tour

I built myself a wooden mansion on top of my original house before I installed the mod, it looks kinda cool now (especially since eventually I was able to add windows.)

It’s pretty snazzy on the inside

Here’s my collection of Nuka-Colas looted from Nuka-World

Bedroom 1! My weird synth son can sleep here if he wants (though I’m not sure he does sleep)

Bedroom 2, complete with sloth toy for my bed and en-suite (aka a cabin)

The magnificent view

My original bedroom, where I slept alongside my now tragically murdered husband, now restored to its former glory

(stay tuned for part two of this, it has doggos and cats in it.)

Masterpost

seethedivide:

I decided to make a list of meta posts I’ve written so far. This is something I made for my navigation page you can visit here —>

Important meta:

The Institute, and what FEV has to do with synths

GHOUL PHYSIOLOGY (The Trilogy)

The Oxygen Theory.

Religion in Fallout

Birth control/sterility + some speculation on Duncan’s illness and the New Plague

Where is the line between raiders and tribals? Why are there hardly any tribes on the East Coast compared to the West Coast?

Vault 19 is a metaphor

The Economy of the Pitt

For those of you who are ready to read through something about 25 000 words written by two fallout nerds, there’s also this:

The Great Literacy Debate

Other meta posts (answers to questions, mostly):

1. Vegans and vegetarians in the wasteland?

2. Consequences of the Independent Ending in New Vegas for NCR sharecroppers, squatters and the Strip casinos.

3. The difference between the Institute and the Think Tank. Who is worse?

4. Where do the ghouls in the southern Mojave regions come from?

5. Is the urbanisation of the East Coast the reason why people are so stuck in the past and aren’t developing as a society?

6. Boon and Carla’s relationship

7. Is there a reason why so many Fallout 4 characters have an accent?

Other discussions that got out of hand:

1. The dog debacle

2. Rivet city full of synths? And James – possibly a former Institute researcher?

I mean, I love Fallout for its world-building and gameplay and wit, but I also love it because of how very, very adamant it is that mega-corporations are apathetic, amoral and have to be stopped.
