Taffington Boathouse is an interesting settlement, but it’s difficult to get much use out of it without first repairing that pesky roof. Luckily, you can accomplish that without the use of any glitches or mods. All you need is a little patience and the Contraptions DLC!
I rebuilt Croup Manor with mods (primarily DFEP, SHAOSTOUL and Snap n’ Build) and hot damn I love it
Sadly, all is not well behind its gleaming walls
The rich folks live in luxury, albeit somewhat clinical luxury
(They like it that way)
The views are magnificent!
And that cellar which had a dead body in it? ALL GONE AND FORGOTTEN ABOUT
They even have a clean, working bathroom!
However! Upstairs tells a different story. This is where the servant’s quarters are.
Life as a Croup Manor servant isn’t ALL bad. You get a balcony
And, y’know, there’s one awful toilet kindly provided for your use (there’s four servants, they all share it)
It’s not a fun life, alas, serving those rich people day in and day out
But what can the Croup Manor-ers do? SOMEONE has to do the farming after all (they sell the food on to poorer settlers, it’s big business)
And SOMEONE’s gotta muck out the animals
Anyway through the building of this I couldn’t work out where the last two servants were (out of seven people, I’d assigned three random ones to be the rich folks)
