Tonight, from the freaky dream department-

I was in a cinema and I was running around seeing virtually every film I could. Then I went to see- it wasn’t Serenity, but it sort of mentioned Serenity, so at that point I thought, ‘Ooh, I should’ve seen that instead! Is it out yet?’. And at the end of the movie I was watching, this random critic did his film review right there, projecting his ‘scores’ for everything (characters, plot etc) right onto the screen. He gave it 0/10. Then he showed us this weird cartoon (it had a very sexist title, but I can’t remember it), and then we were sort of in the cartoon- it started getting really freaky then, because all the women had to wear blue hooded outfits all the time, and if we wanted to do anything we had to disguise as men. So it started getting like The Handmaid’s Tale (the book I got an A on yay)- at the beach all the women had to stay together and not go in the water, and we were all given one pencil each and if we lost it or broke it or dropped it in the sea we’d get into trouble. And there were people on the beach writing fanfiction- I even remember what movie they were writing fanfiction for, it was Brokeback Mountain, a movie I know virtually nothing about- and when you looked at the beach from above (which you couldn’t do in reality, but hey, it was a dream) there was a huge crowd of different colours and small patches of blue near the seas.

Then I was walking home with one of my friends (I know why she was in there- it was because I was thinking yesterday about how we’d drifted apart) and I started talking about how this was exactly like The Handmaid’s Tale and where were all the cameras? Were there any in the house? And then I woke up.

It woukd make a great science fiction novel if it hadn’t been done already. :p

I had one of those weird not-quite-dreams last night. I think I was delirious from this cold I have, or something.

Essentially, it was How Star Wars Would Work In The Real World. Anakin Skywalker was Adam Walker instead, Padme was Padma (like the Harry Potter girl), and so on. Tatooine was Australia, Coruscant was America, Naboo was Italy, Kamino was a random island no-one knew about and Alderaan was Britain. I remember thinking, ‘Hang on…how are they gonna blow up Britain? Hmmm. Maybe this was a dumb idea after all.’

Oh, and the Death Star was a fortress, Owen was a farmer in the middle of the Australian Outback, Jabba was a fat gangster who communicated by mobile phone rather than hologram, and the Podrace was done with cars. And I was trying to work out if it would fit in a three hour movie.

I really hate having colds. I’m in the house on my own while everyone else is out shopping or at school. :( Amuse me by adding something interesting to this lot. :)

Mother’s Day (Turn Of The Earth #7)

Before we start I have a favour to ask- please can anyone get me the exact words of all the things Mickey said about Trisha in Boomtown? Because I’m going to get to that part of the story eventually, and it’d come in very useful. :D

Rose left Earth, but her mother and friends remained there. Mickey meets another girl, Jackie tries not to think about her dying mother, and the Bad Wolf hunts them all.

#1- Not The End Of The World– Mickey after Rose
#2- So Are You– Jackie before Aliens of London
#3- It’ll Be Alright– Trisha during AOL/WWIII
#4- Coward In Your Own Story– Mickey visits Clive’s family
#5- The One I Love– Trisha and Mickey go on a date, as friends- they hope.
#6- The Escape– Shireen, Trisha, and Jimmy Stone

#7- Mother’s Day
Rating: PG13
Concrit: Yes please. :)
AN: It helps if you’ve read So Are You before reading this one.

I picked up a DVD magazine today (it had a Star Wars feature, and Hayden on the cover :D) and they had a review of Doctor Who: The Web Planet in there. The reviewer described it as ‘drivel’ and then said, ‘But as usual, there’s loads of extras. Not that ‘Who’ fans deserve any.’

Because randomly flinging insults sells so many magazines. *groans*
