It’s occurred to me that, by Nebula’s standards, having Yondu delivered to people who will murder him painlessly (and even reassuring Kraglin of that!) counts as…. downright nice. Awwww. (I think.)
this is interesting, actually, because it’s not the impression I got of Kree society. I think Tazerface implies a more brutal treatment as well when he tells them he’s handing them over? Something about them not lasting long after the transfer which doesn’t suggest a clean end. Might be remembering incorrectly, or it might just be baseless gloating.
Anyway, yeah, for Nebula that is practically comforting.
Yeah I was actually really surprised when I turned the subtitles on and realised she said that? Not entirely sure it fits in with what we know of the Kree, but…
gosh I really love this little scene the more I think about it? Am I right in thinking, this is… kind of the first time Nebula’s been faced with anyone she hasn’t been previously antagonistic to? And she makes that weird little extra effort to tell a complete stranger that the death of somebody she can probably tell he cares about will be painless.
(Honestly, assuming she doesn’t die in Infinity War – which I do think is pretty likely :( – my ideal endgame for Nebula would be her ending up a Ravager captain, with Kraglin as her first mate.)
