Secretary of State for Culture, and former political secretary to Thatcher who will “oversee the future of the BBC” – has a “pro-gambling” stance on betting addiction, claims that the BBC license fee is “worse than poll tax.” Also voted against same-sex marriage, against the fox hunting ban, and against a bill which required companies to reveal the gender pay gap. According to Work for You, he has voted against laws to promote equality and human rights consistently.
- Justin Tomlinson
– Minister for Disabled People – voted against protecting benefits for disabled children, the long term sick and disabled, and those undergoing cancer treatment. One thing he did vote for was the “bedroom tax,” which has already been ruled as “discriminat[ing] against disabled adults” in 2013 by a High Court – however, this was deemed “lawful”.
- Priti Patel

Minister of State for Employment at the Department for Work and Pensions
– former tobacco lobbyist who rejects plain packaging for cigarettes, wants to re-introduce capital punishment (the death penalty), and against the rights of prisoners to vote.
- Michael Gove – Secretary of State for Justice
– also wanted to bring back hanging and aims to repeal the Human Rights Act (causing a backbench “rebellion”). Also backed a call to “dismantle” the NHS.
- Caroline Dineage – Minister For Equalities
– voted against same sex marriage. She will work under Education Secretary Nicky Morgan, who used misleading statistics to attack the Labour government on education and also voted against same sex marriage.
- Amber Rudd
– Energy and Climate Change Secretary
– despite being described as “promot[ing] a pro-renewables agenda,” she has previously shown support for fracking, even in national parks.
