I hate having unreliable internet! Though I suppose I should consider myself lucky I have it at all.
Anyway, let’s do a meme, found on my travels through LJ…
Give me two characters from two different fandoms with which I am familiar, and I’ll invent a relationship for them. In drabble format, no less.
Fandoms I can do: Star Wars, Spider-Man (movieverse), new Doctor Who, Holes, Harry Potter
Fandoms I can just about do: X-Men (movieverse), Life on Mars, Pokemon, Digimon, the BBC’s Robin Hood, Torchwood, LOTR
And if I’ve forgotten one, remind me by giving me a character. ;)

He read the name on her desk. “Ms Cartwright-” “You can call me Annie.” “Annie- you don’t believe me, do you?” Annie looked carefully at him. “You learn a lot as a police officer, Mr Smith. I’ve heard stories like these before.”

It didn’t take long for Rose to get sick of it all. “Sodding monsters!” she groaned, backing away from the sea. She’d seen some rather lethal-looking things in there. “Now what, Doctor?” “We wait for someone to find us,” the Doctor said. He was holding something. “Look, Rose! I think it’s called a Squirtle.” “Hello there!” said a voice. Rose turned around, and saw someone there. It was a boy, about her age. “Ah,” she said. “Maybe you could tell us-” “Anything for you!” the boy said, grabbing at her hand. “I’ve never seen such loveliness on this forsaken beach!” “Right!” Rose howled. “That’s it! We’re leaving.” * because it’s totally what would happen. ;)

This was fun. ;) * A Time Lord and a Jedi Knight walk into a bar. “It’s mechanical,” Luke Skywalker said, holding up his gloved hand. “You could say it’s a family tradition.” He winced a little. “That’s nothing,” said the Tenth Doctor, who had already had several drinks and was somewhat pissed already. “This hand was sliced off- by an alien warlord, above London, on Christmas Day on Earth- and it grew right back.” Luke raised his eyebrows. “Currently, I believe the original hand is in the poccession of a slightly emofied intergalactic time-travelling omnisexual immortal. Although admittedly the immortal part is partly my fault.” Luke ordered another drink.

Have a safe journey.” “You too.” The pair of them exchanged a look, and then the Doctor closed the TARDIS door, and turned to Rose. “Let’s get going, then.” “What’s up with you?” she asked cheerfully. “Where’s the ‘fantastic!’?” The Doctor gestured towards the door. “He dies in a week or so.” “Seriously? Master Jinn dies? How?” “Gets killed,” the Doctor said. “It’s a dangerous job, you know…” Rose considered this. “And you can’t do anything.” “Nope. Him dying sets a lot of things in motion. Actually, almost anyone dying sets a lot of things in motion. So…you can’t save people from death, but you knew that.”

It was almost worth having the Doctor around if it meant gorgeous men dropping into her house. “So, love, where did you come from?” she asked, undoing her top buttons. “I live at a school,” he said, shaking his head, “…and your friend visited…and suddenly…” “Ooh yes, he has that effect on people,” Jackie said. “Not me, though. Cup of tea?” “Anything stronger?” She went to find some beer. When she returned, he was examining his hand, which now had three metal claws growing out of it. “Ooh,” she said. “I like that.”
