I really want to make some live-action Thunderbirds stuff, but I’m having trouble with fancasting…
Some of the casting from the actual movie can stay, because most of it was actually pretty good (Sophia Myles, Bill Paxton, Ben Kingsley and Ron Cook at least), Dev Patel is a pretty popular fancast for Brains and…I have no idea for Kayo, especially since no-one’s clarified what ethnicity she is. Adjoa Andoh can stay as Colonel Casey, naturally.
It’s the brothers themselves I’m having trouble with. You’d think there’d be plenty of white American chisel-jawed hero types aged 16ish to 30ish to go around….but I can’t find any who look enough like their respective puppets/cartoons. Anyone got any ideas?
ol’ hoody says its been a long time since they last saw each other. probably not since she was a little girl and he was still ‘uncle’ to her. he knows she’s part of IR. i just. i really want to know more about the breakdown of their family. the theme of family is meant to be so important to this series, i gotta have more. there’s all this goddamn potential!
also i love how they circle each other. he’s trying to be all confident, but his hands are behind his back ‘cause he’s shady. kayo’s got her fists up ready for a fight, making her intentions clear and her intention is K-O!
