Christ almighty, the Last of Us ending is…. kinda horrible really, I can’t hope thinking about it. But the big things I’m stuck on are

• there was absolutely no guarantee a vaccine would cure anything
• the fireflies gave Ellie no choice. Oh, they said it was what she’d have wanted, maybe it even would have been in the end, but they didn’t ask
• Any world that’s rebuilt on such a violent act probably isn’t gonna be a world worth living in
