I’m completely bedbound with CRPS [medical reports] and unable to care for myself – including being unable to even walk to a tap or open my front door to receive a food delivery. I can only ever leave bed carried on a spine board by 2 paramedics.
For 4hrs/day care for a week, AT LEAST $924 must be raised.
Due to the student visa requirement for ~$19,830 in savings, a skilled disability carer could quit her job and/or be forced to repatriate if I can’t pay her. If this happens, I’ll drastically deteriorate for MONTHS while putting up with OUTRAGEOUS problems that abound with MOST other carers, e.g.: losing my keys twice in a week; secretly viewing porn in my flat; etc, etc.

Its even worse than that. I’m living through it. Not only are schools closing, hospitals are collapsing. Only around 9% of the island has electricity and it comes and goes at times.
People are dying in hospitals because of lack of diesel for the generators, a lot of the water is now infected, there are disease outbreaks and scareceness of food. I am safe, but many are not.
Some have water, others don’t. We need help. Sending money would be helpful but what would help even more would be sending water filters, filtering water bottles, food, medicine, if somehow possible diesel.
All of you reblogging this news helps, but what we need is physical help. If you can’t, then spread the word, but God if you can send supplies… Please… PLEASE do. We are dying. Help us, help us save ourselves. Help us save our people. Help us save out ISLAND.

For the past weeks, I’ve often struggled with close to $0, living with almost no care, and in the fear that I’ll face DANGEROUS or FATAL dehydration. when i was 8 years old my dad’s kidneys failed and he had to go on dialysis for about two and a half years. he was lucky enough to receive a transplant in 2009, and it’s kept him going since then, but in august he found out that his transplanted kidney is at 22% functionality.
it’s failing again.
the good news is that he’s been able to get treatment to slow his body’s rejection of the kidney, but chemotherapy and extended hospital stays are pretty costly for a man who’s single income doesn’t even always allow him to pay his electricity bills.
my aunt made him a gofundme, in order to help him cover some of those medical expenses, as well as keep the lights on, since he’s had to take time off from work in order to facilitate the chemo.
if it all possible, i would appreciate it so so much if you could donate. i really want my dad to live long enough to see my little brother graduate high school and me graduate college.

I’m from Catalonia. It’s a region/state in Spain, from Europe. We’ve been wanting to independize from Spain for about 6 years now, and we were just about to have an independance referdum on October 1st.
Except Spain literally dismantled our government organism, the Generalitat. ILLEGALY. They screwed over all rules and protocols.
They suspended the Generalitat’s functioning, entered people’s houses and arrested them (14 people as of me writing this), confiscated their personal and social items, and so on, And they’re sending 8,000 militar soldiers to Catalonia. We’re on ‘exception’ status. Everybody is freaking out, Barcelona is collapsed with a rush of people manifestating right now (it’s literally impossible to try to enter) and nobody knows what to do or what is going to happen.
I repeat.
WE DO NOT HAVE A GOVERNMENT. THEY TOOK FROM US THE PUBLIC GOV ORGANISM THAT WE DEMOCRATLY VOTED FOR ON 2015.
I’m shaking as I’m writing this. I literally don’t know what will happen on the next hours. I’m actually scared.

My beautiful niece Eva was diagnosed with a brain tumor which happens to be sitting on her optic nerve so her vision is deteriorating. She started chemotherapy to slow it down about a month ago but has already lost part of her vision permanently. Eva is one of the most caring, thoughtful, courageous, outspoken and loving girls i know and she’s only 9. Her mum, Sel, was diagnosed with severe endometriosis (a painful disease affecting the uterus and ovaries) and has been in and out of hospital. Eva’s dad, Nila, is struggling to pay for carers, hospital bills, surgeries etc. Eva’s family has enough to stress about without adding finance into the equation.

There are posts going around showing airlines charging several thousands of dollars for one-way tickets out of Florida and I just want to clear some things up. This was spread around yesterday and is NOT the price the airlines are charging. The image that was spread from Delta was from a third party website and the person who originally posted this image has come out and said everything has been cleared up. I even heard this story on the radio coming home from school so just to clarify:
JetBlue is reducing their fares. Remaining seats will be between $99 – $159.
American Airlines is capping the prices at $99. This is for standard cabin fare and means that prices will not exceed this cost.
Delta is capping their prices at $399. This also means that prices will not exceed this cost, however this also includes first class so standard prices will be lower than $399.
Airlines like American and Delta have also added flights and brought in larger planes and waived change fees for passengers who need to cancel or rebook their flights.
If you still need to get out or were worried about these prices then I hope this clears everything up. Note that flights will start cancelling once it becomes too dangerous for planes to fly so make sure to call ahead and keep checking for updates at your airport.
