i love blurry photographs of people on adventures because someone wanted to record the moment but they were having too much fun to take a good photograph.
Sverd i fjell, known in English as the Swords in Rock, is a monument located in Stavanger, Norway. It was built by sculptor Fritz Røed to commemorate the historic Battle of Hafrsford that occurred in the area in 872 AD when the Norwegian king Harald Fairhair succeeded in uniting all of Norway under one crown.
According to its creator, the largest of the three swords represents Harald, while the two smaller swords represent defeated kings. The monument also represents peace, since the swords are buried so deeply in the rock that they cannot be removed.
