Sci-Fi Bulletin: Exploring the Universes of SF, Fantasy & Horror!

Lucasfilm has confirmed that the Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series featuring Ewan McGregor will be filming next year.

“We have all the scripts written, and we’re ready to go next year, we can’t wait to start production,” Kathleen Kennedy told the audience at D23. Kennedy didn’t confirm more about the show but McGregor was delighted to be back as the Jedi Knight.

Well it’s been a looong while, but it might be finally happening –

Okay I know, I know. No-one has actually confirmed anything yet. It might happen but it also very well might not. But still! Everyone wants an Obi-Wan series. They want it more than anyone ever wanted Solo (although I didn’t mind that movie in the end, sorry.) It HAS to happen eventually, right? Come on!

(…and after that, can we get a live-action Jedi Apprentice series? Please?)

I’m totally here for Jedi Dad Jinn being super gentle when his tiny Padawan is sick, like honestly. He’s such a mother hen, wanting to fuss but wanting to fuss properly because he’s a Jedi Master not a youngling. But Obi-Wan is like the embodiment of “’tis but a scratch” so the idea of Qui-Gon trying to baby his Padawan when he’s poorly is a great one. Qui-Gon tries to wrap him in blankets and lay him down, Obi-Wan tries to leap up and say that he’s alright but he manages a shift and a mumble
