Oliva Nebula was not doing her homework.

She attended one of the top schools in the country.
She had recently – very recently, she’d only found out about it yesterday
– been appointed Head Girl. Her headmaster had sent her a note of glowing
praise along with the offical letter. He said he could see great things
in her future, and he looked forward to having her take her place as top
studnet.

And Head Boy was one of the most attractive people in the whole school.

What were you up to with this, 13-year-old me? (”Oliva Nebula”, now there’s a classic self-insert-style name.)

I had a file where I kept every bit of anon hate (then known as ‘flames’) that I ever got as a 13-year-old in anime fandom

This is incredible

Looking through it though, it’s actually a bit…gendered and creepy. It was mostly directed to the various female Digimon characters whom I adored, via me? So they were all bitches and sluts and cows, etc etc etc, and there’s one particularly unpleasant one from a guestbook* where a complete stranger suggests that I (a girl of 13) am going to “kidnap and rape [them]” and wow this trip down memory lane is less hilarious than I thought, my apologies.
