yeah peter capaldi had some really great moments as dr who but the uncontested best one was in hell bent
it’s the bit where he’s eating soup outside his barn, having finally made it back to gallifrey after a shitzillion years, and then that big-ass gunship rolls up with the time lords demanding he lay down his weapons, the music starts to swell to this epic climax…
and the camera very pointedly cuts to him putting down his spoon
that’s it. that’s doctor who summed up in 5 seconds
