The best thing about the kiss was that it’s not just a kiss between two girls, it’s a /real/kiss on a BBC 1 drama between to girls. And it’s not just a peck!! The kiss is how girls that like girls kiss the girls they like. There’s young wlw out there and they’ll see that kiss and it’ll mean the world to them because that’s how girls love girls in real life

Been bingewatching Call The Midwife over the past week or so and it is ROUGH. GOING. Yesterday there was the episode about the kids sent away under the Child Migrant Program (which has been back in the news recently, so…) and DIRECTLY AFTER that one was the one with the stillbirth, which was awful to watch.
Can’t there just be an episode where every birth goes well, no-one dies, and they throw a party or something? :(
Every episode of Call The Midwife follows more or less the same plot (Vanessa Redgrave voiceovers in, Jenny rides her bike, an important social issue is introduced, Jenny’s love life is complicated, someone has a baby, the important social issue is resolved, Vanessa Redgrave voiceovers out) but I still love it.
