- he faced racism all the way through his campaign to be Mayor of London
- yet he won by an overwhelming majority, only to immediately get threats from fascists
- one of his first acts as mayor was to ban adverts which fat-shamed people, particularly women, and guess what? he got Islamophobic shit for that too
- after the Orlando Pulse nightclub shooting he attended a vigil in London and promised to try and keep LGBT Londoners safe
- he describes himself as a proud feminist
- his city has found itself under attack TWICE and both times he’s dealt with it calmly and sensibly
like, I’m not from London, but holy shit I think my whole country owes Khan a major debt at the moment, and fuck Donald Trump for attacking him
