Girls, romanticize yourselves. You are a queen. You are a warrior. You are an enchantress. You are a mermaid. You are a goddess. You are all these things and more. You are the stuff of fairytales.
Women, traumatize others. You are a dragon. You are a wolf. You are a bump in the night. You are the last thing they see in the darkness. You are all of these things and more. You are the heart of their fucking nightmares. [insp]
In Amy and Clara’s first trips with the Doctor in ‘The Beast Below’ and ‘The Rings of Akhaten’ they both encounter a young child in distress. Amy’s reaction is “So?” as if a child crying alone is the norm for her and therefore not a big deal, while Clara’s first instinct is to ask if the child if she is okay and then go out of her way to make sure she’s safe.
So please, tell me again how interchangeable these two characters are
I know this isn’t the point of the post, but it’s so sad to think that for Amy, a little girl crying alone is the norm. :(
Why does every popular gifset of Rose, Martha or Donna always have a “see, these are REAL PEOPLE! (unlike Amy)” comment attached to it? :(
Well, let’s be honest here, the three of them had jobs and family members while Amy was a little girl who lost her parents, had to move away from her home country, and was forced to live with a neglectful relative who left her alone to fend for herself. Who could possibly relate to something like that?
