Jumping on the bandwagon. :D Have put little RL stuff in here, but if anyone for some reason wants to send me anything, email me and we’ll work something out. :D
Step One
– Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered…whatever you’re comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related (“I’d love a Snape/Hermione icon that’s just for me”) to medium (“I wish for _____ on DVD”) to really big (“All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.”) The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
– If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it’s your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
– Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it’ll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
– Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here’s the important part:
– If you see a wish you can grant, and it’s in your heart to do so, make someone’s wish come true. Sometimes someone’s trash is another’s treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don’t want or a gift certificate you won’t use–or even know where you could get someone’s dream purebred Basset Hound for free–do it.
You needn’t spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn’t to put people out, it’s to provide everyone a chance to be someone else’s holiday elf–to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not–it’s your call.

So, I finally got to see Troy recently. Very long, but pretty good. I think they might have been trying too hard to be another LOTR (I swear Peter O’Toole was actually trying to channel Gandalf at one point.) But anyway. It was good to make icons of so it has to be good. :D

In other movie news, they’re filming (or were filming) Batman Begins just down the road from my school. They were using some old house down there as Gotham Towers. I haven’t seen any of the actors though. Sadly. :( Apparently, they’re also using other places around the town to film other bits. I’ll have to go see the movie just to see if I can spot anywhere. (I was going to see it anyway…but most definately not before ROTS :p)

In Film Studies, everyone has to present a few minutes of one of their favourite films and explain what they’re going to write about it (for the coursework, which comes later). I did AOTC scene 34, which is the one where Anakin confesses to the slaughtering of the Tuskens. It was interesting. People were talking about it afterwards. Mwah.
On November 30th there are not one, not two, but four DVDs I want/need to get: Spiderman 2, Prisoner of Azkaban, Thunderbirds and I, Robot (that one’s for my brother’s birthday). I think I may shortly need more money. In fact, eventually I may have to give up chocolate chip cookies merely to fund my DVD addiction.
…hang on, I Robot isn’t even out til the 2nd of December. That’s just one day before my brother’s birthday. Dangit.

While looking at my screencaps from the ROTS trailer, it actually occured to me (for the first time-weird as that may seem) that Anakin actually is Darth Vader. You know how you’d always think of it as one of those split-down-the-middle posters with Anakin on one side and Vader on the other? I sort of realised recently that actually they are one and the same, even though obviously I already knew that.
Have changed my default icon to my ROTS one. Have begun countdown to May 2005 already.
