the cop who kidnapped, r*ped and murdered sarah everard in march, got her into his car by falsely arresting her. he showed her his police ID and handcuffed her. he probably accused her of breaching covid regulations. sarah was witnessed being compliant and not arguing, and this still didn’t stop her from being harmed. in fact, her compliancy enabled the cop to abduct her. the met police, the same police force this cop worked for, used violence against other women to shut down a peaceful vigil held for sarah less than two weeks later. prior to being hired by the met police, this cop was given the nickname “the rapist” by officers at another police force. this is not “one bad cop”, this an institution that is rooted in misogyny.
