So I remember when I reblogged the story about the murder of Ahmaud Arbery, I said something like, I hate knowing that there’ll be another and another just as terrible story right after. And there was.

Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old emergency medical technician (EMT), was shot eight times when officers entered her apartment in Louisville on 13 March.

They were executing a search warrant as part of a drugs investigation, but no drugs were found in the property.

The lawsuit accuses the officers of wrongful death and excessive force.

It was filed by Ms Taylor’s family last month and says the officers were not looking for her or her partner – but for an unrelated suspect who was already in custody and did not live in the apartment complex.

So yeah, another death at the hands of incompetent, trigger-happy, racist police. Here’s a post I found on Reddit, obviously I have no way of knowing if it’s real, but-

It kinda sums everything up pretty well. She was clearly worth a trillion of any of those cops, is what I feel on reading that. Twenty-six years old! Working with adults with brain injuiries, which is one of the hardest jobs anyone can do! And murdered by people who probably (inevitably) won’t even face much justice.
