  • First impression HA. SARAH AS IF I DIDN’T LOVE HIM FROM THE VERY FIRST SECOND I SAW HIM. WHEN I REALIZED HE WAS ALIVE IN SPACE MY MOUTH DROPPED OPEN AND I WAS ROOTING FOR HIM TO COME HOME.
  • Impression now I love him. Easily my favorite character and he was a damn guest character lol.
  • Favorite moment Him in space was just fantastic oh my goodness. Talking to little worm Phil (I wonder if worm Phil is around somewhere??) and just looking at Earth it was just? Fantastic idk.
  • Idea for a story I would honestly love to see his life in space during that entire – what, year? Two years? I don’t remember how long it was but I just need to see how that played out. Hearing about an illness all the way in space, and then having the astronauts back home trying to figure out how to bring him home, and then he realizes they’re slowly getting sick? And the responses get smaller and smaller, he has one guy talking to him through the system and he’s always trying to talk to him, and the guy used to be so chatty and laughy and now he’s trying so so hard to talk to Mike, but whenever Mike says a joke or asks a question there’ll be a long pause and then finally the guy will come in with a chuckle that sounds more like he’s coughing out his lungs and it sounds like it’s too painful for him to talk, and he keeps promising that they’ll bring him home and one day no one is responding to him no matter how much he asks for them and asks for help like? I just need this so badly.
  • Unpopular opinion HE’S ALIVEEEEEE NO MATTER WHAT THE SHOW SAYS WOOOOOOOOOOO
  • Favorite relationship Him and Phil. Sibling relationships get me oh man. And how Phil was his strength in continuing on I just….I hurt.
  • Favorite headcanon Mike loves spicy food; Phil once bet him to eat 5 chili peppers in a row and Mike looked him straight in the eye and chewed them all without so much as a tear.

SARAH I HAVE A WHOLE HEADCANON ON THAT FREAKING STORY IDEA OH MAN

Like?? The worms were named after people and they originally just had regular code names but Mike got the suggestion to name them so he named them after the crew that he knew and  pretty much gave them their personalities so he could feel like he was doing just fine. And how isolating it must have been, he must have been asking if anyone knew or could find out about his family, but there must have been quarantines set up everywhere and they had no idea if his family had moved into a quarantine so he was stuck just not knowing how his family was doing and all he could think was that Phil must have died, Phil must be dead and he died hating him and UGHHHH I JUST HAVE ALL THE EMOTIONS ABOUT MIKE IN SPACE JUST WISHING HE COULD GO HOME, NOT EVEN HAVING AN END GOAL BUT JUST. WANTING. TO GO. HOME.

“Phil must be dead and he died hating him” HOW DARE YOU I HADN’T EVEN THOUGHT OF IT THAT WAY, HOW DARE
