I’ve asked a lot of fans why do they watch Doctor Who? And I think the general answer was that they watch it because they felt strange, like they didn’t belong. And then they watched the show and it gave them hope, if just the tiniest bit of it, that maybe one day, no matter how bad things are, they will go to their yard or living room and someone would step out of a blue box and ask them to travel with them.
