I don’t know…it seems an odd thing to lie about? Unless he got some wires crossed somewhere? I can sort of buy the prequel-ban thing (well, obviously a semi-prequel ban, since the Balance of the Force still gets mentioned and Ewan McGregor showed up) on the grounds that the mainstream Star Wars fanbase is a bunch of screaming, death-threatening jerks – as much as I loathe that –
