Overly Devoted Archivist Uncategorized #I feel like I'm alone in thinking watchmen is not really all that cynical, #I know what he means but...#it's a dark and horrible world true #but the people in it...the people ARE mostly good #dan is good at his core, #laurie is good at her core #hollis and sally and bernard are good at their cores, #the defining image of watchmen isn't the smiley face or the doomsday clock #its the flash of bernard the newsvendor diving to protect the young customer he's befriended, I honestly think so, watchmen 0 Comments

I think ‘Watchmen’ is a great book, but I don’t think a cynical take on superheroes is the truthful one. Everyone says that’s the realistic look. I reject that because I think people at their base core are good.
